Calling on the Finnish Parliament to Invite King Reza Pahlavi
On 12 June 2026, the Atossa Association organised a demonstration in front of the Finnish Parliament to call on Finnish Members of Parliament to invite King Reza Pahlavi to address Parliament.
Finnish MP Peter Östman attended the demonstration and delivered a speech in support of the Iranian people and their struggle for freedom.
A counter-demonstration was organised by individuals opposing our message and supporting the Islamic Republic. This was the first time in Finland that supporters of the regime had organised a direct response to an Iranian opposition demonstration. Their reaction demonstrated the growing significance of King Reza Pahlavi’s leadership and the Islamic Republic’s fear of his ability to unite millions of Iranians around a democratic and prosperous future.
The Atossa Association remains committed to amplifying the voice of the Iranian people and encouraging Finnish decision-makers to engage directly with their legitimate democratic opposition.
