A Meaningful Dialogue on Iran, Israel and a Free Future

Representatives of the Atossa Association had the pleasure of meeting members of the Christian Democrats of Finland at an event celebrating Israel’s Independence Day on 21 April 2026. Finnish Member of Parliament Peter Östman and Tomas Sandell, founder and director of the European Coalition for Israel (EC4Israel), also participated.

We had a warm and constructive discussion about the situation in Iran, the Iranian people’s struggle for freedom, and the vital role of King Reza Pahlavi in leading Iran towards a democratic and prosperous future. During his visit to the Swedish Parliament on 13 April 2026, MP Peter MP Peter Östman had the opportunity to meet King Reza Pahlavi and ask whether he would be willing to visit the Finnish Parliament. Atossa Association representatives discussed with Mr Östman the preparations necessary to make such an invitation possible.

We also discussed relations between the peoples of Iran and Israel, human rights, democracy, and the importance of strengthening cooperation among like-minded communities in Finland. The Atossa Association sincerely thanks everyone who participated in and contributed to this valuable and meaningful meeting.
