Honouring the Memory of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in Helsinki
The Atossa Association organised a commemorative ceremony in Helsinki to mark the 46th anniversary of the passing of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. Held on 27 July 2026, the event brought members of the Iranian community together to honour his memory and reflect on his enduring legacy.
More than four decades after his passing, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi continues to hold a special place in the hearts of millions of Iranians. He is remembered with deep affection and greatly missed for his vision of a modern, prosperous and internationally respected Iran.
Our member Nima Assar performed a moving selection of beloved Iranian national songs on the piano, creating a warm and memorable atmosphere. Guests enjoyed delicious Iranian food and participated in meaningful conversations about Iran—its history, its current situation and the hopes of its people for a free and prosperous future.
The Atossa Association sincerely thanks everyone who attended and helped make this commemoration so meaningful.
