STATUTES
Atossa Suomen Iranilainen ry
1. Name and domicile
The name of the association is Atossa Suomen Iranilainen ry. The domicile of the association is Helsinki, Finland.
2. Purpose and activities
The purpose of the association is to promote Iranian culture, heritage, and community engagement in Finland, and to strengthen cultural dialogue between Finland and Iran.
To fulfill its purpose, the association may:
Organize cultural and social events, seminars, exhibitions, and celebrations
Promote art, science, and education related to Iranian heritage
Collaborate with Finnish and international organizations
Support integration and community-building among members
The association is non-profit. Its activities are not intended to generate financial profit for its members.
3. Membership
Individuals and legal entities who support the purpose of the association may be accepted as members. The board approves new members upon application.
4. Membership fees
The annual membership fee is decided by the annual meeting.
5. Board
The association is governed by a board consisting of:
A Chairperson
2 members
The board is elected at the annual meeting for a term of one year. The board elects a Vice-Chairperson from among its members.
6. Financial year
The financial year of the association is the calendar year.
7. Meetings of the association
Annual Meeting
The annual meeting shall be held between June and August.
Matters to be discussed:
Approval of financial statements and annual report
Decision on discharge of liability for the board
Election of board members
Determination of membership fee
Extraordinary Meeting
An extraordinary meeting shall be held if:
The board decides so, or
At least 1/10 of members request it
8. Invitation to meetings
Members shall be notified of meetings at least 7 days in advance by email or other electronic means.
9. Amendment of statutes
Amendments to these statutes require:
A decision by a meeting of the association
At least 3/4 majority of votes
10. Dissolution of the association
If the association is dissolved, its assets shall be used in accordance with its purpose, as decided by the meeting.
11. Values and principles
The association respects Finnish law and promotes constructive cultural dialogue between Finland and Iran.
Members of the association are expected to respect and support the preservation of Iran’s national identity, territorial integrity, historical heritage, cultural continuity, and national unity.
The association expresses its support for King Reza Pahlavi and recognizes him as the only representative of the Iranian people, promoting Iran’s national unity, historical continuity, and democratic future.
